What advice would you give your younger self when you were starting your research journey?
Make and build connections with as many faculty on campus as possible and as early as possible. It doesn’t have to be a means to an end (recommendation letters) but can be valuable in innumerable other ways on your academic and career journey. These faculty mentors can become lifelong advisors and friends.
