Project Pitch Overview

UROP’s Fall Project Pitch Challenge offers undergraduate researchers the chance to present a dynamic three-minute oral presentation of their research project or creative activity. This competition gives students the opportunity to share the importance of their project in a concise, engaging, and inspirational way.

Access the Student Presenter Guide and application below to learn how to apply to present. The students who submit the best videos will be invited to compete in a live, in-person final and have a chance to win one of three Amazon gift cards ($100, $50, or $25)!

    • Location: Student Center, Doheny Beach A
    • Audience: All are welcome to attend the event! Students, friends, family, and UCI faculty and staff are encouraged to join and watch the presentations.

Eligibility Requirements

• UCI undergraduate student enrolled through at least Fall quarter 2024 in good academic standing
• Participated in a faculty-mentored research project or creative activity during the last year or summer
• Must be an individual presentation with only one entry per student. Students participating in group projects may submit individual entries.

Students who wish to apply must include the following in their application (see the Project Pitch Guide for details):

• Applicant Information: Name, Major, Contact info
• Faculty Mentor Information: Name, School, Dept
• Presentation Information: Description and 3-minute audition video
